Here’s What Ram Truck is Offering in its 2021 Lineup
Ram Trucks made few changes for its 2021 model year lineup, but its headliner — the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX — is ready to take the off-road pickup world by storm. The Ram 1500 and other models in the truck maker’s lineup received functional and equipment changes only. Let us go over all the differences between the new 2021 Ram lineup.
2021 Ram 1500
For 2021, the Ram 1500 full-size pickup comes in a new celebratory trim: Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition. The Limited Night Edition trim is back for the 2021 model year with its monochromatic look, black grille, black badges, and 20-inch black wheels. New optional available features for the upcoming model year include a digital rear camera mirror, trailer reverse steering control, a full-color head-up display, as well as the latest standalone option — power-folding trailer mirrors. For those consumers that live in places where hazardous winter weather is common, Ram offers a new Snow Plow Prep option that includes a truck-side plow wiring harness, a rear power-sliding window with a defroster, and a 220-amp alternator.
2021 Ram 1500 Classic
The Ram 1500 Classic — essentially the previous-generation Ram 1500 without all the latest bells and whistles — gets another model year under its belt. Given that the Ram 1500 Classic is intended to be scaled back, Ram Trucks only offers the model in three trims: Tradesman, Express, and Warlock. For the coming model year, Ram Trucks upgraded its 3-inch infotainment display to a 5-inch touchscreen display on the Tradesman and Express trims, two trims that also feature a new standard overhead console. The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is the top-tier trim with a standard black interior (available on the tRadesman and Express trims) and new 20-inch black aluminum wheels. Additionally, Ram Trucks also offers a new Off-road Package for the Tradesman trim that comes with a lifted suspension, skid plates, tow hooks, all-terrain tires, revised axle ratios, and an anti-spin rear differential.
2021 Ram 1500 TRX
Intentionally engineered to be the quickest, fastest, and most powerful mass-produced pickup on the planet, the all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX pulls no punches. With its 702-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, high-strength chassis, and specifically-designed suspension, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is here to revolutionize what it means to go off-road. Engineers managed to design a pickup with wheel travel increased by 40% when compared to the standard Ram 1500, while the five-link coil suspension improves riding, handling, and overall comfort regardless of the driving surface or terrain. The interior of the TRX offers a plush cabin and an over-the-top infotainment system that’s not only lauded for its touchscreen size (a 12-inch interface), but also for its ease of use.
2021 Ram Heavy Duty
The only distinguishable change on the Ram Heavy Duty pickups is the addition of the new Limited Night Edition trim. Similar to the Ram 1500, the Limited Night Edition trim on the Ram HD lineup features black 20-inch wheels, black badges, and a black grille — all in combination with a variety of exterior colors.
2021 Ram ProMaster & Ram ProMaster City
For 2021, the full-size Ram ProMaster adds Crosswind Assist as a standard. The new feature helps drivers stay on course while driving in less-than-stellar breezy conditions. Additionally, Ram Trucks also added a slew of available safety options such as Blind-Spot Warning With Rear Cross-Path Warning and Forward Collision Warning With Emergency Brake Assist. Ram also added a new digital rear camera mirror that can replace the traditional rearview mirror.
