Yes, Buyers Can Still Opt for the Ram 1500 Classic
When it comes to full-size pickups, the Ram 1500 has always been one of the most popular on the market. However, when Ram Trucks introduced the latest-generation Ram 1500, the brand also chose to not stop making the previous-generation pickup. That’s right, the fourth-generation Ram 1500 is still on sale and it’s known these days as the Ram 1500 Classic. Buyers looking for a reliable pickup that can get the job done without desiring too many of the modern bells and whistles found on pickups these days would greatly appreciate being behind the wheel of the Ram 1500 Classic. Here’s what makes this pickup special:
Ram 1500 Classic: Basics
Like we mentioned above, the Ram 1500 Classic just means it’s a fourth-generation 1500 pickup. And unlike the latest truck offerings from Ram, the Ram 1500 Classic sticks to the basics and still offers buyers and enthusiasts all the amenities that they’ve come to expect from such a truck. Additionally, one of the best things about the Ram 1500 Classic is its lower price, making it an easier entry-point for those in need of an efficient pickup. The 2022 Ram 1500 Classic has a starting MSRP of $29,650 (plus destination fee) and comes in three distinct trim levels. Each trim fits a variety of needs.
Ram 1500 Classic: Trims
On the 2022 Ram 1500 Classic buyers can choose from the following trim levels: Tradesman, Express, and Warlock. These three different trims add versatility to the pickup, with the Tradesman being an entry-level, fleet-like workhorse, while the Express trim adds a little bit of spice and the Warlock trim is top-tier with its performance-focused aesthetics. The entry-level TRadesman comes standard with a 3.6-liter engine that generates 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The Express trim that follows adds amenities such as fog lights and other external accents that count as visual upgrades on the Ram 1500 Classic. Buyers looking to buy the best Ram 1500 Classic without breaking the bank can opt for the Warlock trim which adds dark exterior accents, featuring an aggressive stance, and the option to upgrade to a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine as well. When powered by the HEMI V8, the Ram 1500 Classic Warlock can generate 395 horsepower and towing capacity up to 10,340 lbs.
Ideally, the Ram 1500 Classic is perfect for buyers who don’t want or need all the features that a modern pickup entails. It is worth adding though, that buyers looking for variety and options should definitely scale up and consider the 2022 Ram 1500. The model can switch between being a workhorse, a family truck, an off-roader–and everything in between– thanks to its long list of trims, options, and packages.
