The 2022 Ram ProMaster is All New

August 25th, 2021 by

Work vans are all around us, but somehow they’re hardly noticed. People who sit behind the wheel of one for eight hours or more every day are obviously more intimately familiar with work vans, and research shows that comfort levels, along with safety features, are of the utmost importance. That’s why Ram just broke the work van mold with the revamped 2022 Ram ProMaster. It’s better than it’s ever been and here’s why:

Modern Technology for a Modern Work Van

Significant changes on the 2022 Ram ProMaster are mainly on the technology front. Features such as adaptive cruise control and stop-and-go functionality are optional, while the brand’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system comes standard. Other optional features in the advanced tech department include fog lamps, automatic high beams, a 360-degree surround-view camera, lane-keep assist, and much more. Not only do these features keep van drivers 9and passengers) safe, but everyone driving around them as well.

Mechanical Changes

Some notable mechanical changes on the 2022 Ram ProMaster come from the latest iteration of Stellantis’ long-standing Pentastar V6. These days the Ram ProMaster outputs 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The newest Pentastar is paired with a nine-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which helps keep fuel economy features within range for its segment. Additionally, Ram knows that a work van can’t be a one-size-fits-all type of vehicle, so the pickup maker decided to offer the ProMaster in many different configurations. There are high-roof and low-roof variants, cargo vans, crew vans, vans with a cutaway chassis, and many more. Those in need of a van can count on finding a Ram ProMaster that fits their needs, including towing and hauling. The 2022 Ram ProMaster is available with towing capability of up to 6,910 pounds.

ProMaster Crew Van Package

Seating for two or three people in the van sometimes just doesn’t cut it, so Ram offers the latest Crew Van Package for those in need of more passenger seats. The two-row Crew Van Package from Ram Trucks is capable of carrying up to three more passengers in an elevated second-row bench seat. ProMaster vans outfitted with the Crew Van Package are all high roof cargo van configurations. Perhaps the coolest part of the latest announcement from Ram Trucks is the fact that it’s now been confirmed that a battery-powered Ram ProMaster arrives in 2023. For the time being, the 2022 Ram ProMaster arrives in the fourth quarter of 2021.
