University Dodge - 2025 Ram 1500

As deliveries to dealerships are anticipated in the first quarter of this year, Ram is gradually revealing pricing details for the 2025 Ram 1500 pickup lineup. Car and Driver obtained preliminary figures, excluding the Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Ramcharger, REV battery-electric pickup, and the TRX-replacing RHO. Below is the current pricing information, inclusive of a $1,995 destination charge listed on the 2024 Ram 1500 configurator:

  1. Tradesman: $42,270
  2. Laramie: $62,025
  3. Rebel: $66,190
  4. Limited: $77,150
  5. Longhorn: $77,645
  6. Tungsten: $89,150

The Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, and Big Horn trims will be equipped with the reliable 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, delivering 305 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. An exciting option is the standard-output version of the Hurricane inline-six, producing an impressive 420 hp and 469 lb-ft, available for an additional $2,695. While opting for the Hurricane doesn’t necessarily result in cost savings compared to the current optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8, priced at an additional $3,045, it undeniably offers a more enticing deal overall. For the Laramie and Rebel trims, the Hurricane engine comes as a standard feature, replacing the 5.7-liter engine as the exclusive choice for trucks with the Crew Cab and 6-foot-4-inch bed. This strategic shift in engine options promises an enhanced and efficient performance for these specific trims.

Commencing with the rear-wheel-drive Limited and Longhorn trims, the power options will kick off with the 3.6-liter Pentastar, supplemented by the 420-horsepower Hurricane. For their four-wheel-drive counterparts, these trims will feature the high-output version of the Hurricane I6 as the standard engine, boasting an impressive 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, there’s been a rearrangement in the 2025 pricing structure, with the Longhorn now positioned above the Limited.

Presently, the 2024 Limited Longhorn is priced at $3,865 less than the Limited, prompting curiosity about the factors contributing to this noteworthy shift. Like you, we’re eager to unravel the details behind the substantial price differentials on these two variants.

Limited and Longhorn Trims

The rear-wheel-drive Limited and Longhorn trims kick off with the 3.6-liter Pentastar, offering the robust 420-hp Hurricane engine. However, the four-wheel-drive versions of these trims take it up a notch, featuring the high-output version of the Hurricane I6 as the standard engine, boasting an impressive 540 hp and 521 lb-ft. Surprisingly, the 2025 pricing has witnessed a switcheroo, positioning the Longhorn above the Limited. Currently, the 2024 Limited Longhorn is priced $3,865 less than the Limited, leaving us eagerly anticipating the details behind the remarkable price shifts on these two variants.

Tungsten Trim

The Tungsten trim stands out with a specification list that befits its price tag. Exclusively sold with the H.O. Hurricane, four-wheel drive, a Crew Cab, and 5-foot-7-inch bed, leaked details reveal a luxurious feature set. Highlights include a jeweled rotary shift knob, suede headliner, under-seat lighting, front passenger display, hands-free driving assistance, tri-fold tonneau, a power rear sliding window, 33-gallon fuel tank, power tailgate, and 22-inch wheels. Ram’s announcement for the 2025 models adds even more allure, promising 24-way power seats with massage, a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, dual wireless phone chargers, a metal pedal kit, and an interior adorned in Indigo and Sea Salt hues.

2024 TRX Production Finale

Stepping back to the 2024 model year, the last hurrah for TRX production is marked by leaked pricing from August, nearly aligning with the actual pricing of $98,335 before options. A glance at the 2023 TRX on the configurator reveals a base price of $87,495, showing a difference of $10,840 — assuming one can find a TRX being sold at list price. The RHO trim, set to replace the “shelved” TRX, will run with the HO Hurricane, bringing a new era to Ram’s performance lineup.

The 2025 Ram truck lineup promises excitement and innovation, keeping truck enthusiasts on the edge of their seats as they await the arrival of these impressive pickups.
