Ram Introduces 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition

March 26th, 2020 by

Saddle up, there’s a new Ram pickup in town. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is adding a special edition to its Ram brand — introducing the 2020 Ram 1500 Laramie Southwest Edition. The full-size pickup will be available in Texas and neighboring states, just like its “Southwest” moniker implies. Prices start at $45,380 (plus destination fee) and sales are slated to kick off in the second quarter of 2020.

Special editions of pickups are increasingly popular with buyers, making them one of the most profitable sales tools available in the automaker’s arsenal. Buyers love to splurge on models that not only offer more style, but also have extra custom-like features. The Laramie Southwest Edition doesn’t hold back and offers more cowboy flair at a lower price than the Laramie Longhorn trim it’s based on.

Wood and leather trim can be found throughout both the Laramie Longhorn and the Laramie Southwest edition, making them one of the most luxurious options available on the Ram lineup. The many trims and special editions are among the reasons why full-size pickup buyers are often considered the most loyal in the industry. Additionally, Ram remains the only truck maker to offer an exclusive Lone Star edition that’s a top seller in Texas.

“For nearly 20 years, Ram has recognized that Texas and America’s Southwest are the centers of the truck universe. Ram was the first manufacturer to offer a Texas-exclusive model. Our new Ram Laramie Southwest Edition adds the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury and technology,” said Mike Koval, interim Ram brand chief.
