Ram’s upcoming iteration of their full-size pickup truck, the Ram 1500,  will feature a refreshed appearance, accompanied by a series of modifications to both its exterior and interior. Recent images, captured by vigilant spy photographers, offer enthusiasts a sneak peek into what’s in store for the 2025 Ram 1500. Notably, discernible through the protective camouflage, are restyled headlights that no doubt contribute to the truck’s refreshed front fascia.

With the Ram 1500’s front and rear sections concealed, it is reasonable to assume that these areas will feature the most significant cosmetic alterations. Anticipated changes include revamped headlight designs, which are likely to be accompanied by updated grille styles and, perhaps, alternative bumper configurations. The pickup’s transformation is also set to include a new set of taillights, changes to the rear bumper, and the potential introduction of updated tailgate embellishments. An array of modernized wheel choices is also projected to feature in the new 2025 Ram 1500 design.

When it comes to the interior, it seems unlikely that the Ram 1500 will undergo any extensive overhauls. There is a strong likelihood that the truck will finally integrate a fully digital gauge cluster, while an enhanced infotainment system is also in the cards. Some of the rumored spy images capture the truck’s vertically-oriented touchscreen, hinting at the possibility of incorporating features that aren’t offered on the 12.0-inch unit on the current model.

Engine & Powertrain Changes

The upcoming 2025 Ram 1500 is destined to reap the benefits of a refreshed aesthetic, alongside the highly anticipated adoption of Stellantis’s latest innovation, the Hurricane twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine. Presently, this particular engine is exclusive to the Jeep Wagoneer and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Both models are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Wagoneer, propelled by a 420-hp engine, offers the choice between rear- or all-wheel drive configurations. In contrast, the Grand Wagoneer features the high-output Hurricane engine, generating an impressive 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, and is equipped with standard all-wheel drive.

As for the 2025 Ram 1500, the continuity of the existing engine options remains uncertain. The current lineup for the 2023 model year features a 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and a 395-hp 5.7-liter V-8, available with or without a 48-volt eTorque mild hybrid system. More comprehensive insights into the reinvigorated pickup truck are expected later in the year, so stay tuned on University Dodge social media for the latest Ram Trucks updates.

2024 Ram 1500

For the 2024 model year, the Ram 1500 lineup remains more or less the same, keeping its powertrain options and continuing the Sport, Night Edition, Laramie G/T, Rebel G/T, and Limited Longhorn trims. Additionally, the supercharged Ram 1500 TRX lives on despite enthusiasts’ fears that the HEMI engine would be on the chopping block due to looming emissions regulation changes. It’s also expected that Ram will continue to release other limited edition trims throughout the course of 2024, much like it’s done in the past. Buyers can expect an expansion of Appearance Packages, available safety features and more.
