How the 2023 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel Shines
Ram pickups are renowned for their comfort, reliability, capability, and if the past few model years are anything to judge by, their quality as well. The truck maker updated its 2500 Heavy Duty pickup line to include a Rebel trim. Here’s where this trim stands against the competition from Ford, GMC, Chevy and more.
When it comes to specs, no other heavy duty pickup on the market shines brighter than the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel. Buyers can expect two available powertrains–standard and turbodiesel, along with 410 horsepower (370 with the turbodiesel), 429 lb-ft of torque (850 lb-ft with the turbodiesel), a payload of up to 3,140 pounds, and towing capacity of up to 16,870 pounds. What else makes the 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel trim special? It slots between the high-tier Laramie and Power Wagon trims and lands as this Heavy Duty lineup’s off-road and performance leader.
“Ram Heavy Duty Rebel buyers will enjoy that the newest addition to our versatile lineup offers a combination of off-road performance without having to sacrifice capability. Ram has a deep, rich and strong history of the most capable off-road trucks, and the new 2023 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel adds to that history while delivering the segment’s benchmarks in comfort, luxury materials, innovation and technology,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand CEO–Stellantis.
