Edmunds Names 2019 Ram 1500 the 2019 Best Family Truck
We’ve said it before and it seems like we’ll have to keep saying it, but the accolades keep rolling in for the 2019 Ram 1500. This time Edmunds awarded the 2019 Ram 1500 its Best Family Truck Award. Alistair Weaver, the editor-in-chief at Edmunds, said “A truck as a family car makes sense when you drive the Ram 1500 – especially if your family is outdoorsy and has lots of toys. With reclining rear seats, class-leading legroom and an exclusive coil-spring rear suspension, the Ram 1500 outclasses many traditional SUVs in comfort and luxury.”
Edmunds experts tested over 300 vehicles per model year, relying on a 115-mile length of real-world tests on city streets, freeways, and outdoorsy areas as well in their search for the best family vehicles. Edmunds gathered data based on 30-plus scores that rank performance, interior, comfort, technology, value and utility. Reid Bigland, Head of Ram brand, was happy to celebrate this latest award, stating: “The 2019 Ram 1500 is the benchmark for durability, technology, luxury and efficiency. Advanced safety features on the 2019 Ram 1500 include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking.
