“In launching the all-new 2019 Ram 1500, we knew it was important to offer class-leading features and technology. But it’s also important to offer our great product at a competitive price,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Truck Brand — FCA. “We feel that we’ve delivered the right no-compromise mix that Ram Truck customers will appreciate.”

Pricing for the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 has been announced and the new model includes an abundance of cab combinations, bed lengths and a bunch of standard technology features that were exclusively offered in luxury trims. No surprise here, pricing can vary depending on comfort, safety, and performance upgrades.

The base trim, the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman quad cab 4×2 powered by the V6 engine has a starting MSRP of $31,695 (plus destination fee). The 2019 Ram 1500 Limited Crew Cab 4×4 which includes a HEMI power engine and a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen has an MSRP of $57,390 (plus destination fee). The Ram 1500 Rebel 4×4, the rugged off-road trim, starts at $44,695 (plus destination fee) when equipped with a quad cab option and it starts at $47,496 when equipped with a crew cab.

With the initial release of the 2019 Ram 1500, there will be two engine options available to consumers. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine will come standard equipped and can output 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. For those consumers interested in more power, a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine serves as an option and has the ability to produce 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Both engines include a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology, used to increase the engine’s performance and fuel economy, and the all-new eTorque system is standard on the 3.6L engine and an available option on the 5.7L engine.

The eTorque system acts as a replacement to the vehicle’s alternator with an electrical generator. While, offering a short term torque assist during the initial take-off, the eTorque system also provides brake energy regeneration. Also, the eTorque system gives the 3.6L engine a 90 lb-ft boost of torque, while the 5.7L engine gets a 130 lb-ft of torque boost. Customers that want the technology on a HEMI V8 engine will have to shell out an additional $1,995, which is only $800 more than the cost to upgrade from the 3.6L engine to a HEMI V8 engine without the eTorque system.

Another feature added to the 2019 Ram 1500 is the available new off-road package and it can be added on to almost every trim. The off-road package includes a one-inch suspension lift, electronic-locking rear differential, an optional four-corner air suspension, plus 32-inch on/off-road tires on the standard 18-inch wheels, and the option of 20-inch wheels for additional grip. Additionally, the transfer cases have also received an upgrade – BorgWarner 48-11 for on demand 4WD, while a 48-12 for part-time 4WD operation with Hi and Low ranges is also available. Furthermore, for those consumers choosing to go with the off-road package include a robust skid plate protections, tow hooks, and hill-descent control for additional off-road capabilities.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel definitely offers exceptional power and off-road capabilities. Standard equipped with all-new 18-inch wheels and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires which are both operated by an electronic-locking rear differential, the Ram 1500 Rebel also comes standard equipped with a coil spring suspension, Bilstein shocks, and a one-inch factory lift. An active-level four-corner air suspension is also available with the rest of the features found in the package.

The 2019 Ram 1500 made its debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Including a number of other variants like the Laramie Longhorn edition and Lone Star, dealers can expect to see these bad boys in stock very soon.
