2024 Ram 1500 Offers Promising Refresh
For many months, the Ram 1500 holds the position of America’s third best-selling vehicle. It falls behind only two other domestic full-size trucks, the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado, effectively fulfilling the daily requirements of millions. As the flagship product within the Stellantis family, which encompasses brands like Dodge, Jeep, and more, the Ram 1500 stands tall. However, the Ram 1500 underwent its last major redesign back in the 2019 model year. Consequently, it is gradually becoming the oldest design among the three leading trucks in its class.
Newly-appointed Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis has made it clear that an update is in the pipeline, as reported by the Detroit News. This refresh is slated to make its debut in the first quarter of the upcoming year, with a possible preview at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Even as anticipation builds for the 2025 refresh, the 2024 Ram trucks will soon be available at dealerships, offering relatively few alterations compared to the 2023 models. One notable addition is the inclusion of a tailgate-ajar warning lamp, a standard feature across all trim levels.
Specifically, the Ram 1500 Tradesman Warlock receives several enhancements, including an electronic rear-locking differential, robust skid plates, a 1-inch elevation in ride height, the fitting of 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, and the incorporation of Bilstein front and rear performance-tuned shock absorbers. The formidable TRX trim is bidding farewell with a special edition. This apex predator of trucks, boasting 702 horsepower, will conclude its run after the 2024 model year. However, it is set to make a comeback, potentially as a high-powered variant of the 2025 Ram 1500 REV electric pickup.
2024 Ram 1500 TRX Says Goodbye
Ram will bid farewell to the range-topping 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX with a Final Edition model for the 2024 model year. Officially named the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 – Final Edition, a total of 4,000 units of this limited-production model will be manufactured globally. (For those who prefer a non-Final Edition version, that option will also be available.) Ram describes these models as a “last opportunity” for prospective buyers to acquire the high-performance truck before the renowned Hellcat engine is retired from the lineup.
Ram 1500 REV
As anticipated, the upcoming Ram 1500 REV maintains its robust body-on-frame chassis and a generous array of LED lighting, introducing a plethora of intriguing lighting features to the truck realm. The extent to which these features will be incorporated into the new Ram truck, or if they will be dialed down for this electric Ram truck, remains to be unveiled. Nevertheless, this fresh entrant into the market is well-positioned to compete with other electric trucks and assert its dominance in this evolving arena.
