Ram Truck always has cause for celebration, as was the case with the 2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition. The model and trim, along with all its configurations and perks, proved so popular that the pickup maker is apparently deciding on offering the very same features under a new package for the 2022 model. Of course, although it’s inspired by the 75th anniversary, the upcoming Level 3 Package will go without the special emblems that marked the milestone. Mopar Insiders is citing its dealer sources when revealing the big news about the Level 3 Package.

Just like the 75th Anniversary Edition, the Level 3 Package is expected to take the Power Wagon trim to new and more luxurious heights. Amenities that owners can enjoy include power-adjustable auxiliary sections, reverse lamps, power-folding side mirrors with memory, automatic high beams, and body-color handles. Additionally, the electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case that Ram customarily offers as an optional upgrade, is part of this package’s standard equipment.

On the inside buyers will find heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a heated bench in the back. Drivers will find a heated steering wheel, as well as power-adjustable pedals at their disposal. Passengers get the best seat in the cabin thanks to an eight-way power adjustment and two-way lumbar support feature. As for the cabin aesthetics, Ram mixed a bit of black trim and aluminum, but the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen display along with a 17-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system takes center stage.

The Ram Power Wagon is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 engine which generates 410 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ram takes special care of its pickup with front and rear locking differentials that make it less likely to get stuck while off-roading. As for the Level 3 Package, the truck maker isn’t outlining the final details just yet. Details should be available in a few weeks when the brand divulges features and pricing for the Ram 2500 Power Wagon trim.

Without any other revolutionary technology or serious powertrain upgrades, the 2022 Power Wagon is expected to remain somewhere in the ballpark of the current model’s starting MSRP of $52,845 (plus destination fee). The Ram HD and Power Wagon models are set to make their grand debut at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show this upcoming winter and roll out to dealer lots by the third quarter of 2019.
