2021 Ram ProMaster Highlights

June 9th, 2020 by

Ram debuted its 2021 Ram ProMaster in early March (2020), but any subsequent chatter about the model and its offerings for the upcoming model year were swept under the rug by the sudden onslaught of the Coronavirus. That said, the 2021 ProMasters is scheduled to go on sale during the third quarter of 2020 as one of the most hardworking full-size cargo vans designed for businesses. The Ram ProMaster easily sets the standard for commercial fleets and construction jobs and here’s why:

The 2021 Ram ProMaster is the first Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) model to feature an all-new, class-exclusive digital rearview mirror. Designed to function as a traditional rearview mirror as well, the newly-digital rearview mirror is equipped with an LCD monitor that measures 9.2 inches wide. Besides the traditional reflective function, the digital mirror also displays video in real-time due to a rear-facing camera. When the rear-facing camera is turned off, the mirror reverts back to the traditional reflective effect. This spectacular new feature is available on all ProMaster vans, regardless of trim, and gives the driver an unobstructed view to aid in the prevention of accidents and to enhance safety while on the job.

In addition, the 2021 Ram ProMaster also introduced Crosswind Assist as a standard feature, no matter the trim. Crosswind Assist effectively keeps the cargo van stable even while the vehicle might be subject to wind gusts that can interfere with its course. Other additional and available safety features include: Blind-Spot Monitoring, Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Brake Assist, Rear Cross Path Detection, and Ambient/Courtesy lights.

Ambient/Courtesy Lights

Owners who rely on their ProMaster as an office on-the-go, as well as upfitters, will be happy to enjoy the enhanced lower interior lighting with LEDs. The feature is now standard on all 2021 ProMaster vehicles, no matter the trim.

Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection

This feature is not standard, but it is available as an upgrade for those who are looking to benefit from this advanced safety feature. Like its title notes, this safety feature responsibly monitors a driver’s blind spots and issues a warning — via a chime and/or vibration — that there are other people, vehicles, or objects entering the ProMaster’s blind spots. This feature reduces ownership costs in the long run, helping drivers avoid collisions, downtime, repairs, and rising insurance costs.

Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Brake Assist

Yet another available safety feature intended to reduce the occurrence of accidents, Forward Collision Warning with Emergency Brake Assist applies partial braking to lessen the chance of a collision and alerts the driver with ample time to avoid impact. Long term cost of ownership is also reduced thanks to this advanced safety feature.

Ram offers the 2021 ProMaster in 18 different roof height and wheelbase configurations, all powered by a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. All ProMaster cargo vans, regardless of trim, feature a renowned class-exclusive front-wheel-drive system that makes maneuverability a breeze. Other best-in-class features of the 2021 ProMaster include exceptional cargo width between wheel wells, load-floor height, turning radius, standard cargo height, and maximum cargo width. Pricing for the 2021 Ram ProMaster is unavailable at this time, but it’ll likely be announced during summer (2020).
