2021 Ram 1500 TRX Crowned “Texas Truck of the Year”

October 22nd, 2021 by

Success strikes again for the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX as the model was just crowned the Texas Truck of the Year. Additionally, the Ram 1500 TRX was also deemed the High-Performance Truck of the Year at the Texas Motor Press Association Texas Off-Road Invitational event. Ram Truck is no stranger to being the Texas Truck of the Year, as the brand took top honors last year (2020) as well. Sister brand Jeep was also at the event and took home a few accolades as well, including the 2021 Jeep Gladiator as the Off-road Truck of the Year, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L as the Full-size SUV of the Year, and the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 392 as the High-performance SUV of the Year.

“The challenging off-road trails were no problem for Ram 1500 TRX as it easily trekked over the roads with massive horsepower, multiple drive modes, and lofty ground clearance. It was so much fun to experience the truck conquer the trails. We all took notice of the wild animal roar exhaust note off in the distance,” said Bryan Grant, President Texas Motor Press Association.

Upcoming Ram Truck Lineup

Ram Truck has plenty to be proud of as we head into the 2022 model year. The truck maker is currently the number one brand in new-vehicle quality, and as of now the only truck-exclusive brand to land first place in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study. Additionally, in the same J.D. Power study, the Ram Heavy-duty models also scored best, making Ram the number-one truck maker to rank high in new vehicle quality among large heavy-duty trucks. The 2022 Ram Truck lineup now includes the Know & Go mobile app that features an impressive and immersive experience for customers who are curious to learn more about their vehicles.

2021 Ram 1500 TRX

Much more than an everyday commuter destined to live its life on the pavement, the Ram 1500 TRX comes loaded with off-roading equipment. Its supercharged engine is the only thing that should be dominating conversations in the current pickup segment. This massive truck only has 15 horsepower less than a Dodge Challenger Hellcat muscle car! The 6.2-liter HEMI V8 that rests under the hood of the TRX gives the pickup unprecedented performance in a segment that’s often slogged down by size and weight. Some standard features include a reinforced frame, forged aluminum front control arms, four-wheel-drive, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and Bilstein adaptive shocks. No matter the terrain or driving conditions, the Ram 1500 TRX is equipped with outstanding capabilities that’ll conquer any path.
