Dodge Durango

The all-new 2017 Dodge Durango is back with some awesome features. There is a completely new trim, the Durango GT, which has replaced the Durango Limited. Two rows of seating is now standard on all trims, and the base trim (Durango SXT) is available with a third row of seats, increasing passenger capacity to seven. Also new for 2017 are a variety of interior update and upgrades to the dashboard screen. Here are three of our favorite features on the new 2017 Dodge Durango.

Upgraded Uconnect

The 8.4-inch UConnect display screen is optional on the base trim (Durango SXT) and standard on all four other trims. In addition to Uconnect 8.4’s usual features such as touch screen music controls, Bluetooth, and SiriusXM, the new Uconnect 8.4 system now offers a helpful new feature for towing. The rear view camera now has the ability to show the view of a trailer being towed while the vehicle is in motion. This new feature will allow for much safer and easier trips when towing the boat down to the lake.

Cargo Space

Generally, if you are purchasing an SUV it can be assumed it is because you need a lot of room, either for a family or for storage on long trips. So, that is one of the many reasons why we love the Durango. The Durango can hold up to 84.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, which is plenty of room for the kids and all of their (smelly) sports equipment!

Need flexible seating configurations? Some Durango models are is equipped with a 60/40 fold-and-tumble second-row seat and a 50/50 split folding third-row seat , so seats can be folded down to make room for large cargo when necessary.

Dual-screen Blu-Ray Entertainment System

We couldn’t talk about favorite features without mentioning entertainment technology. Who doesn’t love technology? The Durango is loaded with entertainment technology.  Once again, an SUV typically means children so the available Dual-screen Blu-Ray package is sure to be a winner (for them and you). With this package, two 9-inch screens are located on the backside of the front seat headrests. Each screen can be accessed with Blu-ray technology and they are equipped with an HDMI outlet. So, pop in a Blu-ray disk or watch Netflix (or both) on the “big screen.”
