The Dodge Challenger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept Pushes EVs Forward
Dodge showcased its Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept at a Stellantis Design Cars + Coffee event, making this the first time the concept returns since its debut at the North American International Auto Show earlier this year in Detroit, Michigan. The automaker has since made improvements to this concept, showing it off in a striking exterior clad in Dodge’s iconic Viper Stryker Red shade.
Dodge also showcased the concept at other events with differing wheel variations, captivating enthusiasts across the board as they await Dodge’s next move. However, for the concept’s latest showing, Dodge simply reverted to the original “turbine” 22-inch wheels with a center lug design. One of the more notable features on this concept (with a patent pending), is the R-Wing. The R-Wing is a front aerodynamic wing that’s seamlessly integrated within the Dodge profile, effectively enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. The innovative design not only enables optimal performance metrics, but it effectively maintains Dodge’s unmistakable visual cues.
The core of the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept highlights the revolutionary 8-00-volt Banshee propulsion system, which carries on the legacy of the iconic Hellcat lineup. This state-of-the-art electric powertrain offers thrilling performance and establishes a new benchmark for EV capabilities throughout the automotive industry. Dodge’s latest concept also introduces the eRupt, a multi-speed transmission system with an innovative electro-mechanical shifting experience. Dodge is also redefining EV acoustics with the introduction of the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, an unprecedented exhaust system that’s a first in the EV industry. The groundbreaking innovation produces an exhilarating performance sound intended to mimic the iconic roar of the SRT Hellcat HEMI engine, giving enthusiasts an auditory experience worthy of the Dodge vehicles they know and love. Given the new feature is still undergoing design changes, the Stellantis staff at the event didn’t showcase the Fratzonic Exhaust.

In a departure from conventional muscle car stereotypes, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept surprises enthusiasts with a rear hatch and fold-flat rear seating, offering unparalleled storage capacity.
