Dedicated to performance and being the ‘go-to’ truck for tough jobs, Ram offers buyers three upfits that can be added to their trucks. Whether in need of being a mobile snow plow (thankfully, not likely down here), having an organized tool box or a mobile workshop, Ram upfits on the Ram 3500 have drivers and workers covered.

Toolbox Upfit and Service Capsule Upfit

Intended to assist workers and drivers in construction and building industries, the Ram Toolbox Upfit or Service Capsule Upfits serve all types of functions for a range of industries. Ram Heavy Duty trucks are available with a rear backup camera, making it easy for drivers to safely backup even when they don’t have a clear view due to big equipment or the upfit.

Snowplow Upfit

Tested on Michigan’s frozen tundra on the Michigan Upper Peninsula, a Ram fitted with a snowplow, is sure to keep drivers safe and highways and roads clean. When the Ram Heavy Duty 3500 is equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine, the truck is armed with two alternators that have a combined total of 440 amps, which makes the truck more than capable to handle the increased electrical load that a snowplow might require.

Built Tough

Ram Heavy Duty trucks feature a hydroformed high-strength steel frame of 50 ksi. And when the Ram 3500 is equipped with the available 6.4L HEMI V8 engine, it boasts a Best-in-Class payload of 7,390 pounds. Or, the available 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine delivers maximum Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings of 10,000 pounds for Ram 2500 and 14,000 pounds for Ram 3500.
