University Dodge 2025 Ramcharger

The all-new 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger made its debut with a class-shattering targeted range of up to 690 miles. Ramcharger, with its best-in-class targeted range, joined the lineup as the latest example of how Ram offers customers benchmark gas and electric vehicles that delivered disruptive, leading-edge advanced technology.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger is equipped with a 92-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack, coupled with an onboard 130 kW generator, which directs power to the 250-kilowatt (kW) front and 238 kW rear electric drive modules (EDMs). With bi-directional charging capabilities for both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-home scenarios, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger offers the flexibility to recharge another Stellantis battery-electric vehicle or feed power back to the grid.

“With unlimited battery-electric range, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger is the pinnacle of the light-duty pickup truck segment and the ultimate electric truck. The new Ramcharger is a beast of a light duty – 663 horsepower, 615 lb.-ft of torque, 4-second 0-60 mph, 14,000 lbs. of towing… and zero need for a public charger,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis.

Class-Shattering Range

The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger combines a 92 kWh battery pack with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine and an onboard 130 kW generator. Power is sent to a 250-kW front and 238-kW rear EDM, which combines the motor, gearbox, and inverter while offering all-wheel-drive capability. The front EDM has an automatic wheel-end disconnect for enhanced efficiency, and the rear axle includes an electronic-locking rear differential. Power flows from the V-6 engine to the onboard generator, which converts mechanical power to electrical power. This electrical power can recharge the battery when needed or be combined with the battery’s power to maximize wheel power. There’s no direct mechanical connection from the engine to the wheels.

The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine is specially adapted for generating power with unique packaging to accommodate the front EDM. The liquid-cooled 92-kWh battery pack is positioned beneath the truck’s floor, maintaining a flat cargo area. Fast charging can add up to 50 miles of electric range in around 10 minutes using 400-volt DC charging at up to 145 kW.

Class-Leading Riding & Handling

Drivers will experience best-in-class ride and handling, thanks to a multi-link independent rear suspension with standard, segment-exclusive, active-level, four-corner air suspension. The adjustable air suspension provides five different modes: entry/exit, aero, normal, off-road 1, and off-road 2.

The vehicle’s Autonomous Drive Assist System (ADAS) capabilities include Hands-free Highway Assist (L2+), which allows hands-off driving at all speeds and lane centering on approved roadways for added convenience. The system proactively reduces speed in tight curves, automatically regains control after driver intervention, and ensures the driver remains attentive to the road. Additionally, the vehicle offers autonomous parallel and perpendicular parking assistance, utilizing a range of sensors, including radars and cameras, to determine suitable locations for the technology.
