Pay for What You Need: The Dodge Journey has Options for Customizations

July 29th, 2016 by

The Dodge Journey is the newest SUV to come to the Dodge vehicle lineup and it offers buyers a variety of excellent standard and optional features that allow them to customize the SUV vehicle to their needs and preferences.

The Dodge Journey is available as a 5-passenger or 7-passenger SUV. The Journey’s SE base trim is the five seater option and the Journey other trims are equipped with a third row seat that gives the vehicle its seven passenger capacity.

With the exception of the R/T (road and track) Journey trim, the Journey is equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and an 4-speed autostick automatic transmission. This engine and transmission combination result in a 173-horsepower engine that has an average fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.

However, buyers have options to upgrade the engine. The more powerful 283- horsepower 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine and 6-speed transmission that is standard on the Dodge Journey R/T is also an option for the other Journey trims (except the Journey SE).

The Journey comes standard with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display system, which gives drivers easy access to the vehicle’s entertainment system.

Buyers that are always on the go can opt for one of the Journey trims available with the Garmin navigation system or SiriusXM Travel Link+, which provides drivers with real-time weather and traffic updates and gas station locations and pricing.

Those interested in the Dodge Journey as a family car or for long road trips with friends, there is an available rear seat video group that makes time spent in the car more enjoyable. The rear seat video group comes with a second-row overhead 9-inch video screen that allows back seat passengers to watch movies, listen to music or play video games. The system also comes with a remote control and wireless headphones, so different passengers aren’t bothered.

Those that will be using the Journey as a vehicle to tow jetskis, canoes or haul the kids to soccer practice might be interested in the Journey all-weather group package by Mopar. This package includes all-weather accessories that protect a new car from the dirt and mud that may be tracked in by an active driver and passenger. This package includes Mopar sill guards, slush mats and splash guards.

Whether you need a car for your family, friends, cargo or as an everyday driver. The Dodge Journey is a great vehicle for anyone that knows what they need and wants style and comfort.
