‘MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge’ Expands its Horsepower
Dodge announced the latest iteration of its renowned ‘MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge’ is taking a thrilling turn. The festival, recognized for its street-legal drag racing on the iconic Woodward Avenue, is expanding its reach and relocating to the heart of downtown Pontiac, Michigan. Enthusiasts need to mark their calendars for August 12 (2023), to experience this one-day celebration of horsepower.
MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, known for its passionate enthusiasts, achieved a remarkable milestone in 2022, attracting over 40,000 attendees in a single day. This year (2023), the starting line for street-legal dressing competition will find its new home at the intersection of Woodward Avenue and W. Pike St. in Pontiac, offering an electrifying experience for everyone.
“We can’t wait to bring Roadkill Nights and street-legal drag racing to the heart of downtown Pontiac. Roadkill Nights continues to evolve each year, with the Pontiac stop serving as the second of two Roadkill Nights events in 2023. Our little horsepower circus has grown from a grassroots event to a can’t-miss event for any true muscle car enthusiast,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO–Stellantis.
In its eighth year, MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights by Dodge continues to captivate audiences. The event is now making its second appearance of 2023, and this time it’s heading to Pontiac. Earlier this year (2023), Dodge Last Call Powered by Roadkill Nights took place at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 20, bringing the exhilarating horsepower festival to the western region for the first time. The Las Vegas event was particularly special as it featured the grand unveiling of the stunning 1,025-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 through a thrilling helicopter-drop reveal. The awe-inspiring moment also marked the introduction of the seventh and final Dodge “Last Call” special-edition model.
The second Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event of 2023 promises enthusiasts more than just street-legal drag racing. It’ll be a thrilling extravaganza featuring a captivating display of classic and modern muscle cars, exciting Dodge Thrill Rides, engaging Dodge displays showcasing the current performance lineup, a lively vendor midway, and a whole lot more. With such a diverse range of attractions, this event is set to draw tens of thousands of enthusiasts to the vibrant streets of downtown Pontiac.
