Mopar Take Center Stage at SEMA Thanks to a Slew of Ram Trucks and Dodge Concepts

November 3rd, 2021 by

Mopar is turning heads once more at this year’s (2021) Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. A few weeks ago, the official aftermarket parts manufacturer teased several sketches ahead of the show. The fleet includes custom vehicles and one-offs that showcase tons of performance parts and accessories from Mopar during the exhibit in the Las Vegas Convention Center, which runs from Nov. 2-5 (2021).

“With its dedicated enthusiast audience, SEMA is the best place to showcase our full catalog of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories. These seven new custom vehicles demonstrate the passion, creativity, and innovation of the Mopar team,” said Mark Bosanac, North America Vice President, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care.

Ram Trucks has two offerings at this year’s SEMA event, Dodge has one on display, while Jeep rounds out the rest with four one-of-a-kind models. Here are the three custom concept vehicles for Ram Trucks and Dodge:

Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner

Based on the award-winning 2021 Ram 1500 TRX — arguably the quickest, most powerful, and fastest truck ever — the all-new Ram 1500 TRC RexRunner from Mopar is clad in exclusive accessories and custom parts. Mopar elevated the apex predator of the truck world with greater levels of high-speed capability and durability. Under the hood lies the same supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine, with its boisterous 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Mopar added 37-inch Goodyear tires on custom-designed 18-by-9-inch Black Rhine Chamber wheels as a race-inspired accent on all four wheels.

Ash Gray paint shines on the exterior of theTRX Rexrunner, but there’s also a center stripe that starts at the hood and extends to the roof, along with TRX bedside graphics, dual tow hooks up front, and a unique Ram grille.

Additional Mopar accents on the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner include a RamBar accessory bar with rectangular LED lights, a bed extender, a spray-in bedliner, custom metal skid plates with laser-etched Mopar lettering, rock rails to protect the side sills, and a customer black, flip-top, fuel-filler door that rounds out all the other rugged accents. Mopar also added a fully-integrated, bed-mounted spare-tire carrier that keeps a 37-inch spare tire and wheel on standby. 5-inch black Mopar exhaust tips finish off the truck’s threatening appearance with a sport look. There’s a Mopar bed step with an articulating arm that makes entry and exit a breeze as it gently retracts to an out-of-the-way position.

Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Concept

Designed for those who play just as hard as they work, the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman is based on the award-wining Ram 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4. It features a painted gloss black exterior complete with attention-grabbing Mopar blue graphics. Not only does the Ram 1500 carry everything one might need on a job site, this pickup easily switches gears and instantly transforms into a carry-all truck that’s tailor made for the outdoors. The interior of the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman concept comes with a custom, deployable work surface that slides out from beneath the soft center armrest. This area provides an additional workspace with custom embroidered Outdoorsman and Mopar logos measuring 12-by-14 inches.

Front-row bucket seats and second-row bench seats come standard with Alloy-Mesh cloth inserts, seats embroidered with the Outdoorsman and Mopar logos, and Mopar Blue Katzkin leather side bolsters trimmed with Sydney Grey accent leather.

Dodge Challenger Holy Guacamole Concept

As beloved as when it first arrived on the scene, the Dodge Challenger continues to dazzle muscle car enthusiasts. Mopar is introducing the Dodge Challenger Holy Guacamole concept by taking the 2020 limited-production Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody 50th Anniversary edition and time traveling back to the 1970s. Bringing forth a modern touch, the Dodge Challenger Holy Guacamole concept has an exterior awash in “Rotten Avocado” — a custom green paint color — and is accented by a custom-painted “Gold School” Shaker hood scoop, staggered 20-inch Forgeline wheels, a Mopar coil-over suspension lowering kit, and unique tone-on-tone side striping. The interior of this concept is clad in wood panel trim with seats and door panels complete with green and yellow plaid inserts as a tribute to some of the shades and materials found in the iconic 1970 Dodge Challenger.
