Father’s Day: Bacon, Boats or a Clean Ride

June 16th, 2016 by

Father’s Day is Sunday, don’t forget! Did you forget? Here are some awesome last-minute activities and gifts for any of the dad’s in your life.

Air Fresheners

Air fresheners are one of those things that really improve a ride in the car, but they are one of those things that easily slip our minds. So if that would be something your dad would enjoy, pick out a couple of the interesting ones that are available on the internet, there’s a lot more than the pine tree shaped ones available at the gas station. Does your dad really like bacon? There is a bacon-scented air freshener, but be prepared, he might be hungry all the time.

Snorkeling in the Florida Keys

Do something fun, active and refreshing and book a seat on a snorkeling charter at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo in the Florida Keys. From Davie or Miami, the drive to Key Largo isn’t bad (about 1.5 hours) and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is a world-renowned spot for snorkeling and diving. If the sea conditions for the day are good, the boats will bring you to a snorkeling spot known as the Christ of the Abyss or Christ Statue — it is truly a beautiful underwater site.

Car Detailing: By You

Spend a few hours in the morning or afternoon giving your dad or grandfather’s car some TLC. Bring it to a gas station to fill up the tank, check the tires and give it a thorough vacuuming. You can use the car wash at the gas station or bring it home to give it car wash, followed by a fresh coat of protective car wax and RainX on the windows.
