Dodge Maintenance: Warranties and “Complete 360” Plan

On the market for a new vehicle? Then knowing about your warranty and standard Dodge maintenance is important. Since we have covered standard Dodge maintenance here, now we want to inform our customers about the new Mopar Dodge maintenance coverage option and the standard warranties included with the purchase of a new Dodge.

All Dodge vehicles are backed by three standard warranties and complimentary roadside assistance. Additionally, back in January Mopar started a unique Mopar Vehicle Protection warranty that new Dodge owners can add-on to their purchase.

One of the three warranties that all new Dodge vehicles are backed by, is a basic “bumper to bumper” warranty of three years or 36,000 miles. Generally, a basic warranty covers many repairs (excluding some items like tires and brakes) needed for all of the factory manufactured parts, also known as OEM parts, in the car. In addition, towing to the nearest Dodge repair garage is covered as well.

All Dodge vehicles are backed by a five-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Powertrain warranties generally have longer terms because typically powertrain issues don’t occur until the car has significant mileage on it. Parts relating to a car’s powertrain include a vehicle’s transmission, engine and drivetrain. If any parts require repairs, replacement or service under the warranty terms, owners will not pay a dollar for parts or labor.

Finally, all new Dodge vehicles come with unlimited roadside assistance and a rust-through warranty of five years or 100,000 miles.

For owners who want to purchase a plan that includes more than the basics, Mopar offers a special vehicle protection plan called the “Complete 360” Plan.

Available for terms of five years or 60,000 miles, or six years and 75000 miles, the “Complete 360” Plan includes: mechanical coverage for the entire vehicle; covering 5,000-plus components, complete vehicle scheduled and recommended maintenance including parts and services; and complete coverage for all mechanical wear and tear, such as wheel alignments, brakes (including pads and rotors), shocks and struts, wiper blades, belts and hoses, clutch assembly, battery, headlamps/bulbs/fuses and more.
