University Dodge Most Reliable Brand

Lack of change isn’t often lauded in a car’s lifespan, but that’s exactly what landed Dodge in Consumer Reports’ ratings of most reliable cars. Not only was Dodge the sole American car brand to make it into the ratings, but it’s also the first time Dodge itself makes it into the top 10. Coming in at eighth place. Dodge is officially up 13 spots when compared to last year.

The Challenger and Grand Caravan models are responsible for helping Dodge achieve this feat thanks to their above-average ratings. Additionally, sister brand Chrysler also moved up seven spots and now ranks in 19th place thanks to the also-considered-old Chrysler 300 model. Foreign brands like Lexus, Mazda, Toyota, Kia and others rounded out the list.

How does Consumer Reports decide on its rankings? The publication relies on owner surveys over a 12-month period, gathering respective data. Owners are often surveyed about a variety of topics, including questions about squeaks, rattles, and even more serious problems like engine and transmission problems. In total, Consumer Reports received more than 420,000 vehicle assessments in its latest survey.

2020 Dodge Challenger

Dodge is proud to deliver the automotive industry’s most powerful and capable muscle car in the form of the 2020 Challenger model. There’s the 797-horsepower “Demon-possessed” SRT Hellcat Redeye trim, all the way down to the efficient and entry-level 303-horsepower SXT trim. With its class-exclusive capability, the Challenger stands out on its own when it comes to all-weather capability, horsepower, and overall interior quality. The Dodge Challenger is one of the last true GT cars. The authentic and modern Dodge Challengers offer buyers heritage design, everyday livability, and unmatched power.

The 2020 lineup includes eight distinct trims: SXT, SXT AWD, GT, GT AWD, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye. Engine options vary from the entry-level award-winning 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar — powering the SXT, SXT AWD, GT and GT AWD trims — to the various HEMI engines available. The R/T trim is powered by the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8, while the R/T Scat Pack trim is powered by the naturally aspirated 392 HEMI V8. A Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 lies under the hood of the SRT Hellcat, while a high-output variant of the same engine powers the top-tier SRT Hellcat Redeye.
