Dodge Introduces 2022 Durango R/T HEMI Orange Package

Dodge’s hottest three-row muscle car–the 2022 Dodge Durango– is sporting a new look this summer (2022).  Initially introduced in 2021 for the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger models, this time around it’s the Dodge Durango that’ll offer a HEMI Orange package. The popular appearance package is available on the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange. 

“HEMI Orange is a hot option for the Dodge Challenger and Charger, and now we’re expanding its reach by offering the Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange.The Durango has a muscle-car attitude, and the eye-catching HEMI Orange appearance embraces the Dodge performance DNA that is our foundation,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer – Stellantis. 

Inspired by the orange shade on the original HEMI engine that’s been powering Dodge vehicles for generations, the Durango R/T HEMI Orange comes with a standard 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine under the hood. Besides the hefty engine, buyers can also expect unique orange and Gunmetal hood stripes, Midnight Grey and orange exterior badging, a Satin Black tail lamp, and 10-inch Black Noise wheels. Buyers of the HEMI Orange package can choose from the following exterior colors: White Knuckle, Octane Red, Diamond Black, and Destroyer Grey. 

On the inside, buyers can expect all three rows of seats, including second-row captain’s chairs and SRT front seats, to come with orange accent stitching and a monochromatic Dodge Rhombi seatback logo. The thematic stitching continues throughout the cabin and can be found on the instrument panel, console lid, leather flat-bottom steering wheel, shifter boot, door uppers and finally the armrest. Prospective buyers looking to take their 2022 Dodge Durango even further can access a full menu of amenities via the HEMI Orange Plus Package and HEMI Orange Tow N Go Package options. 

The HEMI Orange Plus Package includes amenities such as a power sunroof, advanced safety features, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and much more. The HEMI Orange Tow N Go Package is available on all-wheel drive Durango vehicles, adding advanced towing features, orange Brembo brake calipers, 20-inch Lights Out wheels, Bilstein high performance suspension, along with additional content and features. Buyers can order the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange. The HEMI Orange appearance package totals $1,995, while the HEMI Orange Plus and HEMI Orange Tow N Go Packages retail for $4,500 and $5,095, respectively. 

Dodge will provide additional details on its Dodge Durango R/T HEMI Orange package later this summer (2022). Additionally, the brand is slated to circle back to its Never Lift plan, checking in on its 24-month promise to be transparent about Dodge’s performance future as EVs loom in the background.
