Dodge Grand Caravan – The Perfect Family Vehicle
Families need family cars. Sedans can only go so far when you have a family, especially if that family has more than a couple children. With families and children comes sports equipment, instruments, sleepover and camping gear, and the list goes on. With that being said, a sedan is just not big enough, and sometime neither is an SUV.
That is why the Dodge Grand Caravan is a great choice for growing families. It is a minivan, but it has a bunch of unique features that make it practical and efficient. So, say “goodbye” to the “typical” soccer mom and dad minivan, and “hello” to the cool family-everything van.
The interior cabin of the Dodge Grand Caravan has 143 cubic feet of cargo space. This cargo space comes from the trunk, behind seats, as well as extra room allowance from folding seats down. All the open cargo space leaves room for several kids in the back row and all their extra “stuff” for after school activities.
Additionally, the Grand Caravan has Stow ‘n Go seating. Stow ‘n Go seating is standard on the back row on the Grand Caravan AVP, the base trim, and standard on the second and third-rows on the other Grand Caravans. Stow ‘n Go seating makes it easy to fold and store the seats in the minivan’s built in floor storage compartments. When the seats are not folded down, the floor compartments can be used to store other things.
Interior family friendly features
We know kids get bored and restless on road trips which results in cranky parents. That is why the Dodge Grand Caravan is loaded with standard technology features, and has even more available options as well. The Caravan will not only get the family from point A to point B, but will facilitate a smooth and calm drive.
Technology features like a four speaker system with a audio jack, and radio 130 all come standard in the Dodge Grand Caravan base trim. If you choose an upper trim other options include SiriusXM satellite radio, an overhead video screen, a 6.5-inch touch screen display, a BluRay/DVD player, a navigation system and even wireless headsets.
We know that minivans have a reputation for not being the sexiest vehicle on the block, but the Grand Caravan crushes that stigma. The Grand Caravan has features like a black/bright grille, halogen quad headlights, 17-inch steel wheels, and Touring Yokohama brand tires — all of which add an extra flare.
Upper Grand Caravan trims have extra features and or options available to make the van even more stylish. Some of the features include 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lamps, Mopar splash guards, and an all black grille.
With a family, safety is the number one priority. The Dodge Grand Caravan has a four-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. The Grand Caravan has standard features like active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, knee airbags, electronic stability control and speed control.
