Dodge Gets Spooky Just in Time for Halloween
Dodge introduced two new shockingly stylish trims for its 2022 Charger and Challenger models, just in time for Halloween. The latest offering from the brand is a HEMI Orange and SRT Black Appearance Package. Available on the GT RWD and Scat PAck Widebody trims on both the Charger and the Challenger models, the HEMI Orange Appearance Package is a nod to the iconic HEMI engine that’s powered both vehicles for generations. Matching the distinct orange shade from the early-era HEMI engines, this all-new package highlights the exterior lines and creates a singular look of orange-and-black accent combination that transforms the exterior and the interior.
“The HEMI Orange SRT Black packages offer two distinctive appearance options for the 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger. Performance-vehicle owners are unique, and these two packages offer our customers the chance to stand out even more on the street,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand CEO — Stellantis.
On the exterior, a new orange accent tracer complements Gunmetal striping that spans vehicle-length, while orange outlines a Midnight Grey Metallic grille and fender badging. Orange Brembo six-piston calipers brightly contrast with 20-by-11-inch Carbon Black “Warp Speed” wheels. The GT RWD trims feature Brembo four-piston calipers on Medium Gloss Black 20-by-9-inch wheels.
On the inside, buyers can expect a cockpit with orange stitching on the instrument panel, console lid, door uppers and armrest, shifter boot, and a leather flat-bottom steering wheel. The seats also have a monochromatic Dodge Rhombi seatback logo as well as orange stitching. On the Scat Pack Widebody, buyers will find an orange-and-black “392” instrument panel badge. Other blacked-out interior modifications include the shifter body, cluster trim, cup holder, vent rings, and steering wheel bezels.
Dealerships can begin ordering the HEMI Orange package starting this fourth quarter (2021) with a starting MSRP of $2,995 on the GT RWD trim, and a $1,500 MSRP for the Scat Pack Widebody. A HEMI Orange option is also destined for the 2022 Dodge Durango R/T and R/T Tow N Go trims, with details pending until the first quarter of 2022.
Additional Packages
Dodge also offers an SRT Black Package on the Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims, with a blacked-out exterior, including badging and accents. While the package is currently available on the Durango SRT 392, the 2022 model year will be making it available on the Charger and Challenger models. The package includes blacked-out Hellcat badging, including on the fender, spoiler and grille. On the Charger model, buyers can find blacked-out accents on the fender, grille, and decklid, all while modified with a Midnight Grey Metallic appearance. The SRT Black Appearance Package is also slated to launch during the fourth quarter (2021) and has a starting MSRP of $695.
