Dodge Enthusiasts Strike Gold With the New 2021 Dodge Charger Gold Rush
Muscle car enthusiasts just struck gold with Dodge now that the automaker made its Gold Rush shade available on select Charger trims. The golden exterior color was initially introduced on the Challenger 50th Anniversary Limited Edition and now Dodge made it available on the Charger R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims. All trims are equipped with the same Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid. Gold Rush remains an optional shade on the 2021 Challenger T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims.
“The customer response to the Dodge Challenger Gold Rush exceeded our expectations. We’re sticking to that successful Dodge formula of proliferating our most popular options across the lineup and giving Charger customers, who want the Gold Rush color, the option to have it on their four-door muscle car,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge Brand Chief Executive Officer — Stellantis.
Gold Rush joins a slew of heritage-inspired shades such as Frostbite, Hellrasin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green, and Go Mango, on the 2021 Charger.
Additional options that are new for the Charger in 2021 include:
- The SRT Hellcat Redeye trim is now available as the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world thanks to its 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. With 797 horsepower, 707 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 203 miles per hour it’s not hard to see why the Charger is more a four-door muscle car than a sedan with performance chops.
- High-performance Brembo brakes on the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims are standard and feature SRT branding. These brakes are available on the Scat Pack trim as well.
- Standard 20-inch wheels on the Charger GT AWD trim, available on SXT AWD as well.
The Charger coming in hot from a record 2020, it also just had its best Scat Pack year ever and is leading its segment for the eighth consecutive year as well. Dealer orders for the 2021 Dodge Charger in Gold Rush open up this spring (2021).
