Dodge Brings Back its Gold Rush Shade and More for the 2021 Model Year

December 11th, 2020 by

Dodge is bringing back its popular Gold Rush shade for the 2021 model year. The golden exterior color was initially introduced on the 50th Anniversary Dodge Challenger, then available as a limited edition in terms of shade and vehicle trim. Gold Rush will be available on the Challenger T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims. SRT trims with a Gold Rush exterior are also accented with a Satin Black hand-painted hood, roof, and decklid.

“Dodge offers a wide variety of performance models and powertrains, but we also have the same mindset when it comes to our extensive color options. By bringing back Gold Rush to a few of our 2021 Challenger models, we’re giving our enthusiasts yet another option to make their muscle car even more unique,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars — Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAt, FCA — North America.

Gold Rush joins the rest of the Dodge heritage-inspired color palette, such as Frostbite, Sinamon Stick, F8 Green, Go Mango, TorRed, and Hellraisin, on the 2021 Dodge Challenger. The addition of the Gold Rush exterior paint option is not the only new option for the 2021 Challenger, buyers can also enjoy:

  • Standard 20-inch wheels on the Challenger GT AWD, available as an upgrade on the SXT AWD trim.
  • Both the Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker and T/A 392 trims are now available with the Widebody Package, thus offering buyers a combination of improved performance with wider wheels and tires along with a series of unique heritage appointments.
  • SRT-branded high-performance Brembo brakes on the Challenger SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye are now standard.

Dodge opened dealer orders for the 2021 Dodge Challenger already, with dealership deliveries scheduled to begin in early 2021.

2021 Dodge Performance Lineup

Dodge is living up to its performance brand chops in 2021, offering buyers Hellcat-powered variants of every single vehicle they offer. Yes, that means people can get behind the wheel of a Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and enjoy 700-plus-horsepower — without question the most powerful SUV ever made. The 2021 model year also includes vehicles such as the drag-strip dominating Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock (807 horsepower!) and the 797-horsepower Dodge Charger SRT Redeye. When combined, these three performance monsters bring more firepower and horsepower than any other American brand across its entire lineup.
