Whether for personal or commercial use, there are times where those hard-working truck owners still demand additional cargo space and organizational options. For the 2019 model year, the all-new Ram 1500 features best-in-class interior and exterior storage with the RamBox Cargo Management System, among the other cargo compartments included throughout the 2019 Ram 1500 cabin.

RamBox Cargo Management System

The 2019 Ram 1500 is available in two different bed lengths: 6-foot-4, available in the Quad and Crew Cab models, and 5-foot-7, only available in the Crew Cab models. Returning for 2019 is the Class-Exclusive RamBox Cargo Management System that offers in-bed storage compartments convenient for storing equipment or even tailgate supplies. Fortunately, the RamBox doesn’t affect the available bed space when being used. Not only does the RamBox offer a convenient location for more massive objects, but it can also be locked for additional security by utilizing the remote keyless entry, class-exclusive all-secure central locking system.

Additional features included in the RamBox Cargo Management System consist of cargo box lighting, a cargo bed extender and divider, and car bed rails with four adjustable tie-down cleats. In order to give consumers a better idea of what the RamBox system is capable of, the maximum cargo bed volume is 61.5 cubic feet and has the ability to hold a significant amount of 4×8 sheets of plywood. Furthermore, it can hold about 140 standard-sized beverage cans.

Interior Storage Compartments

The interior cabin of the 2019 Ram 1500, along with the RamBox Cargo System, also features some hidden storage compartments. The first storage compartment, the rear flat-load floor, is located in the rear floor and according to Ram, provides additional passenger comfort, usability, and extra cargo storage. Another interior compartment is the under seat storage. The Class-Exclusive under-storage can be located after folding up the rear bench seat and has the capability of storing up to 40 liters utilizing the fold-out feature. The Ram Bins can fit up to a 4-inch drop hitch with integrated tie-down for additional assistance in securing extra cargo, due to the 5.5-inches of extra space compared to the previous Ram models. Lastly, the under-seat storage feature is optional on the Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, and Rebel crew cab models only and the floor console is standard only on the Rebel trim.

Additionally, the 2019 Ram 1500 features a Class-Exclusive reconfigurable center console. The center console can charge up to five mobile devices simultaneously, has space for a 15-inch laptop, hanging file folders, and also includes Type-C USB high-speed charging ports.

Mopar Cargo Accessories

From a vast array of cabs, beds, and optional equipment offered in the 2019 Ram 1500, it’s no surprise why the folks at Mopar put together a catalog of 217 parts for the all-new pickup truck. The Mopar accessories range from a class four hitch receiver that has a tow rating of 12,750 pounds to cleats that slide along the rail system to secure cargo of just about any size – the possibilities are endless.

Some additional optional accessories include:

  • Ball mount adapter kit – three drop sizes available
  • Pickup box adjustable utility rails
  • Cargo bed divider
  • Bed sliding toolbox
  • Bed mount cargo carrier
  • Ski and snowboard carrier

Along with the previously explained storage options, it’s clear that consumers can pack their Ram 1500 to max capacity while staying organized without wasting any space.
