All 2022 ProMaster vans, regardless of trim, are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that yields 276 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The ProMaster can tow up to 6,910 pounds and overpowers the competition when it comes to strong payload capability – 4,680 pounds. Like we mentioned prior, the 2022 ProMaster debuts an all-new nine-speed automatic transmission that makes the van nimble and adds a smoother ride quality. While other models in the same segment often feel sluggish, the 2022 Ram ProMaster is often lauded for its maneuverability and overall handling.

What’s New for 2022?

Upgraded for 2022, the Ram ProMaster lineup features a new transmission and upgraded technology. Buyers can now enjoy a nine-speed automatic transmission that replaces the outgoing six-speed unit. Additionally, the ProMaster features a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and much more. On the inside, the 2022 Ram ProMaster also features a makeover, including an up-to-date instrument panel and a second-row seating package. The center stack is also redesigned with more charging ports, the latest infotainment system, and HVAC controls. Ram also replaced the outgoing 5.0-inch infotainment touchscreen display with a new standard 7.0-inch or an optional 10.0-inch touchscreen instead. Buyers can count on having wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa voice assistant capabilities, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot and an available wireless device charger as well.

Exterior Features

The 2022 Ram ProMaster was designed for service and ready to take on any commercial job. All ProMaster trim levels and their variants come standard with 16-inch x 6.0-inch steel wheels, LT225/75R16E BSW all-season tires, a 16-inch steel spare wheel, an underslung tire carrier, and manual fold-away mirrors. As previously mentioned, the Ram ProMaster has several configurations. In terms of exterior styling and convenience features, it all depends on the model chosen by the consumer. Available tire and wheel options include 16-inch x 6.0-inch aluminum wheels and black painted steel wheels, and 225/75R16C BSW all-season tires. Optional convenience features include a deep tint sunscreen glass, power folding/heated mirrors, rear-hinged doors without glass, rear window defroster, side wall cargo tie-down rings, and wide power-heated mirrors.

Interior Features

Drivers can expect an expansive wide-angle view of the road ahead thanks to the ProMaster’s generous cabin. Overall, the design is more attractive than some of the competition as the ProMaster mixes hard durable plastics while incorporating a slew of modern technology. There’s a 7.0-inch configurable display in the gauge cluster, as well as a readily-accessible wireless device charger. Additionally Ram also added a large and accessible storage tray that sits beneath the glovebox and acts as additional storage space. Buyers in need of transporting passengers more than cargo can opt for the Crew Van Package that includes a second row of seats with seating for up to three people.

Entertainment

All ProMaster cargo vans no matter the trim come standard with the user-friendly Uconnect 5 infotainment system and a 7.0-inch touchscreen display. Ram also offers a larger 10.0-inch infotainment display as well as an optional upgrade. Uconnect 5 allows buyers to make over-the-air updates and offers a Wi-Fi hotspot that requires a subscription. Devices can be connected simultaneously via Bluetooth, while the model offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities. A new feature that’s sure to be of help is the Amazon Alexa voice-assistant feature.

Safety Features & Warranty

Safety comes first for Ram and the ProMaster offers a slew of standard and optional driver-assistance features. Key safety features include standard Forward-Collision Warning, Automated Emergency Braking, Blind-Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alerts. There’s an available digital rearview mirror and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go Technology as well. All new Ram trucks have a basic 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile diesel powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile gas powertrain warranty, roadside assistance for 5 years or 100,000 miles, unlimited miles, and a rust-through warranty for 5 years.
