When thinking about SUV’s, most manufacturers highlight comfort, practicality and economy, but not all SUVS are created equally. The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is a toy-hauling muscle car and America’s fastest third row SUV.

Engine

Certified by the National Hot Rod Association, the new Durango SRT can hit 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds. It comes equipped with a 6.4-liter V8 producing 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque – talk about taking your family for a sweet ride! Like most sports cars, the Dodge Durango SRT has enhanced traction control and shift parameters to ensure the fastest acceleration possible. The Durango also has multiple drive modes that change the calibration of the suspension to the stability control and even the transmission shift parameters. Need to come to a full stop fast? The Durango SRT has Brembo brake calipers and 15-inch brake rotors on the front wheels and 13.8-inch brake rotors on the rear wheels.  

Interior

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT definitely has aggressive styling cues, something SRT performance models are known for. Inside the cabin of the Durango SRT, drivers can look forward to having a flat-bottom SRT steering wheel along with a new electronic shifter that gives drivers multiple options when changing gears – this feature is also available on other Durango trims as well. The 2018 Durango SRT has Nappa leather with suede inserts and silver stitched SRT logos, heated and ventilated front seats and heated second-row captain’s chairs with embossed SRT logos.   

The class-exclusive Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen media center houses the new SRT Performance Pages along with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and buyers are also treated to a complimentary 5-year trial of SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic.

Exterior

On the outside, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT has fender flares that widen the Durango’s body by about three-quarters of an inch and the SRT hood visually sets it apart from the rest of the pack. The hood is equipped with a functional center air-inlet ducts surrounded by heat extractors that help keep the engine bay cool. From behind, a new SRT rear body-color lower fascia with Gloss Black accent surrounds the 4-inch dual round exhaust tips finished in Nickel Chrome.This new unique look will be topped off with an SRT-inspired grille mesh pattern finish.   

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT is available in 11 exterior colors including: Octane Red Pearl Coat, Blu by Yu Pearl Coat, and White Knuckle Clear Coat.
