The 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan American Value Package (AVP) is a top-choice among consumers looking for convenience and a more spacious car for work, family or transportation. The AVP is the most basic Grand Caravan trim, but it has a number of convenient storage features, as well as innovative seating that makes it a comfortable for each of the seven passengers.

Basics

The engine is a powerful 3.6-liter V6 with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It has a large fuel tank that holds 20 gallons of gas and driver’s can expect a fuel efficiency of 17 MPG city and 25 MPG highway — making it possible to travel long distances while on family road trips. Interior

There are a number of interior features that make the Grand Caravan ideal for group transportation. The AVP has excellent storage features. The second-row bench that fold, recline and can be removed for added storage area. There is also additional in-floor storage making the AVP perfect for those on the go. The second and third rows are bench seating and the third-row has 40/60 Stow ‘n Go seats, which means the seats can be easily folded into the floor.

The exterior features of the Grand Caravan make it one of the more modern styles of minivans on the market. Its wheels sit on 16-inch steel rims and Yokohama Brand Tires. There are sliding doors on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides. It also has a rear wiper, washer and power heated exterior mirrors.

Safety Features

The 2016 Grand Caravan earned 4 out of 5 stars for an overall safety rating. The AVP is equipped with traction control, electronic stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist. It has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags and a driver’s knee airbag. It also has all-row curtain side airbags and active front headrests.
