Mopar Debuts New Parts For All-New 2019 Ram 1500
At last month’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 made its debut and it was only a matter of time before Mopar decided to come out with some pretty awesome accessories for this brand new baby. Sure enough, at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, Mopar released more than 200 Mopar parts and accessories for the all-new Ram 1500.
“At the Chicago Auto Show, Mopar is showcasing the art of the possible when it comes to accessorizing the all-new Ram 1500,” said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA. “With more than 200 parts and accessories, available at launch, Mopar delivers the largest array of factory-backed, authentic products to personalize the new Ram 1500 and make it truly one of a kind.”
Making its grand entrance, the Flame Red Ram Big Horn Sport 4×4 was modified for the outdoors. Modifications include a 2-inch Mopar lift kit which increases the truck’s off-road clearance and gives the truck a more in-your-face appearance with its 35-inch monster tires. In order to keep the tires fixed to the rims while aired down for increased off-road grip and traction, Mopar developed 18-inch, six-lug wheels paired with matching trim rings. For additional defense against hazards on those off-road trails, Mopar developed black off-road wheel flares compliment the 35-inch tires. Some added accessories include off-road cast aluminum running boards in order to add that “curb appeal” and functionality plus skid-resistant stepping surface which allows for a better grip in those wet or muddy conditions.
Available in the near future, the 2019 Ram 1500’s 5’7” bed will feature a one-of-a-kind lifestyle Ram Rack. First previewed as a prototype part during the Ram Macho Power Wagon concept vehicle at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, the Ram Rack system mounts to the available production bed utility rails. Furthermore, an adjustable rear Ram Rack and Mopar bed step are some featured accessories.
Also available later this year, Mopar also released a new “Ram Airflow” cold-air intake system that delivers a consistent flow of fresh air to the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine – with outputs 395 horses and 410 lb-ft of torque. This intake system is compatible with all 2019 Ram 1500 hood applications, which runs parallel to this is the Mopar performance cat-back exhaust which was made from AL409 stainless steel and radiates a deep exhaust note. According to Mopar, the dual 5-inch exhaust tips complete the package and feature dual wall thickness, fitting perfectly to the bumper while providing a smoother edge. Additionally, there are also matching black Mopar hood graphic stripes, blacked-out Ram emblems and badging, front tow hooks and a Mopar logo hitch plug.
The 2019 Ram 1500’s interior cabin features front and back premium black Katzkin leather seats that are beautifully embroidered with Rebel red Ram’s head logos on the seat backs. Rebel red stitching accents can be found on the seats, door trims and center console. Mopar’s all new all-weather floor mats are also custom stitched with Ram’s head logo while designed with deeper channels and higher, more rigorous sidewalls to keep water and other debris contained.
What most consumers don’t know is that the aftermarket industry is an enormous and incredibly profitable business, which is why FCA has made efforts to encourage them to accessorize their trucks before leaving the showroom – makes sense!
