All-new 2019 Ram Tradesman HD
Annual truck sales numbers often impress people when the figures are made public, but what people don’t realize is that heavy-duty pickups are the backbone of many industries. Work trucks drive sales year after year and brands like Ram are always looking for innovative ways to meet their customers’ needs. With hopes to take a bigger chunk of the work truck segment in 2019, Ram recently debuted an awesome new truck at the Work Truck Show in Indiana. Here’s the 2019 Ram Tradesman Heavy Duty.
The 2019 Ram Tradesman HD is intentionally bland as a model manufactured for fleet purposes. It’s based on the all-new 2019 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty and comes with a white exterior, yellow gauge needles, and vinyl mats on the floor instead of carpet among other small features. Trucks like the 2019 Tradesman are primed for customization, a plus for businesses looking to quickly personalize their fleet.
Under the hood of the 2019 Tradesman HD lies a gasoline engine that offers 429 lb-ft of torque, but the redesign does bring forth some more powerful options. A Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel engine is an available upgrade that offers 1,000 lb-ft of torque and a best-in-class towing figure in the amount of 35,000 pounds. The 2019 Tradesman is available in both two- or four-wheel-drive, with the four-wheel-drive option only available with a manual transmission. One area where Ram delivered above and beyond with this pickup is the amount of standard advanced safety features available. Drivers can enjoy adaptive cruise control, a rearview backup camera, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking (even works with trailer brakes!) and many other advanced safety features. Ram offers the 2019 Tradesman with two doors or four doors, and an ample variety of bed configurations.
We noted earlier that the 2019 Tradesman is designed to look bland and rather inconspicuous as it’s primed for fleet customization, but Ram actually does offer a chrome accents package for the body and 17-inch steels wheels to 18-inch chrome units for those buyers looking to customize. Official pricing figures are pending, but the 2019 Tradesman HD is scheduled to make its official debut across dealer lots during the second quarter of 2019.
Pricing has yet to be announced but the 2019 Tradesman is slated to roll across dealer lots during the second quarter of 2019. Explore the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup that debuted at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, complete with specs and innovative features.
