2023 Ram ProMaster Unveiled

March 8th, 2022 by

Ram Commercial unveiled the 2023 Ram ProMaster at the National Truck Equipment Association’s (NTEA) Work Truck Week trade show in Indiana. The all-new 2023 Ram ProMaster is lauded as a full-size van tailored for businesses, construction job sites, and even commercial fleets. For the upcoming model year, the ProMaster continuously evolves to meet customer needs all while delivering advanced technology perks, connectivity features, interior comfort, class-leading safety features and much more.

“Ram ProMaster continues to evolve as we listen and respond to commercial customer input, and the 2023 model is a culmination of that effort. Now available in three roof heights and featuring a broad array of safety, advanced technology and connectivity features, Ram ProMaster delivers confidence for hardworking people every day, no matter their line of work,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand CEO – Stellantis.

New for 2023

The 2023 Ram ProMaster features a segment exclusive rear roll-up door that makes cargo loading/unloading easier for both vocational and delivery customers alike. Constructed with anodized aluminum for weight optimization, the roll-up door can keep up with heavy duty cycles. Powered by the next-generation 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, the ProMaster generates 276 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The 2023 ProMaster is paired to a segment-exclusive TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic transmission. In response to customer demand, Ram Commercial will introduce a battery-electric ProMaster in 2023. Ram will make more information available at a later date.

Amazon is destined to be the first commercial customer for Stellantis’ new Ram ProMaster EV, programmed to launch in 2023. Stellantis, along with input from Amazon, engineered the vehicle with unique last-mile delivery features. Amazon is poised to deploy its latest delivery vehicles across the US. Both Ram and Amazon hope to build on the current relationship as part of a long-term agreement between the two parties–with Amazon putting thousands of BEV ProMaster vans on the road every year.

On the outside, the 2023 Ram ProMaster features an updated aesthetic that signals the van is up to the task of a hard day’s work. A front-end design update includes standard halogen or (optional) LED headlights and fog lights with improved durability and designs. Ram also added a three-piece front fascia that positions the headlights out of the slow speed collision zone. Additionally, there’s a modular bumper with an integrated step to aid when changing windshield wipers.

Where the 2023 Ram ProMaster really shines is in its standard safety features, including Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist. Using ultrasonic sensors, this latest system helps guide drivers in and out of parking spaces, making delivery easier while on congested city roads. Additional standard safety features include Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, Crosswind Assist, rear backup camera with dynamic gridlines, post collision braking, Drowsiness Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, push-button starter, keyless entry (all doors) and an electric parking brake.
