A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is the standard engine beneath the hood of the SXT, SXT Plus, GT, GT Plus, and Citadel, capable of generating 290 horsepower. The Durango RT is powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that generates 360 horsepower, while the Durango SRT 392 is powered by a larger 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that offers a hefty 475 horsepower. Both the SRT and SRT Hellcat trims offer standard all-wheel-drive, while the remaining trims come standard with rear-wheel-drive, keeping the Durango athletic and muscular.
What’s New for 2022?
For 2022, Dodge added Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic alert on the Durango SXT trim, as wells as a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear parking sensors, roof rails. The biggest change for the 2022 Dodge Durango is the fact that all three-rows are now standard, making the Durango capable of seating up to seven passengers.
