2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Available in eight different trims, the Wrangler Unlimited has options that cater to a variety of needs and wants. The Wrangler Unlimited Sport is the most basic of the eight trims and it is equipped with the essential comforts and capabilities that most drivers look for in an SUV.
The Basics
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport comes standard with 3.6-liter, 6-cylinder, engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. This configuration generates up to 285-horsepower and gives the Wrangler Unlimited a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.Made for off-roading, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is only offered as a four-wheel drive vehicle and it comes with some great features that make it durable and dependable when off-roading. Among some of the special off-roading features are tow hooks in the front and the back, front and rear stabilizer bars and skid plates for the fuel tank and transfer case.
The 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Sport has a gas powered engine that runs on regular unleaded fuel. The estimated EPA mileage is 16 MPG city and 21 MPG highway. The gas tank can hold up to 22.5 gallons and drivers can expect a range of up to 360 miles in the city and up to 472.5 miles on the highway.
Interior Features
The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes standard with a black interior and durable, easy-to-clean cloth seating. The rear seat has 60/40 split folding which makes it easy for drivers to add extra room to the rear cargo space when needed. The instrument panel includes a compass, clock, 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited interiorexternal temperature display, and a tachometer. For convenience the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport has cruise control, audio controls on the steering wheel, cup holders in the front and rear, and storage features on the back of the front seats. Entertainment features include an AM/FM stereo with an auxiliary audio output and an eight-speaker system.
Exterior Features
To accompany the Wrangler’s off-roading capabilities and mechanics, the Wrangler Unlimited has a sturdy and rugged exterior. The vehicle rides on 17” aluminum rims and Goodyear off-road tires. In case of a flat, the vehicle is equipped with a full-size matching spare. The Wrangler Unlimited also comes with the iconic Jeep removable soft-top.
The rear door is hinged on the side for easy access, and Jeep has also included cargo tie downs for the back cargo space so drivers can secure their belongings. Buyers have the option of eight paint colors.
